WHO WE ARE
Ohio Nature-Based Early Childhood Education is a group of like-minded educators who have either founded, are working at, or aspire to begin or work in a nature- based setting with children ages birth-8. We have come together in 2018-2019 to enjoy collegial friendships as well as learning and growing as professionals. We also come together to share and gather resources.
Mission: Our collaborative exists to promote nature-based learning in the field of early childhood education.
VIsion: We are committed to build a sustainable network of relationships among professionals who share the belief that children thrive in the outdoors with authentic play experiences.
WHAT WE DO
Our leadership team meets every other month via zoom to discuss topics suggested by our members (to become a member to this free organization, click here). We report out our discussions on our blog and to the Facebook group. We strive to create regional meetings throughout the year at various participants centers. We also communicate about attendance at local, state, and national conferences and plan meet ups there. We typically hold an annual large membership meeting in the summer either via zoom or at a conference where many already are attending.
